The UK Pavilion
The UK Pavilion will be at the forefront of the International Water Association (IWA) World Water Congress and Exhibition which is taking place in Glasgow next year from the 4th-8th October 2026.
Who are we?
This Congress, our UK Pavilion partners are Adler and Allan, Capgemini, Atkins, George Leslie, Morrison. GHD, Ofwat, Veolia, Skewb, and Stantec.
All 16 water companies which serve and operate within the UK will be represented.
With over 10,000 people expected to attend the five-day event in Glasgow, the UK Pavilion offers a prime opportunity to showcase the very best of UK technology, innovation, climate adaptation, and the passion that drives the country’s water industry.
Dr Marie Whaley, Congress Lead, International Water Association said “We are thrilled to be bringing our flagship event to the SEC Glasgow in 2026 and are confident Glasgow provides the ideal backdrop to foster relationships and drive discussions which support the global community in transitioning to sustainable water solutions that are robust and flexible in the face of global change pressures”.
Passion for the Water Profession
It’s no secret that water is essential to life, sustaining everything from humans to animals to plants. This means that the work we do within the water industry has the power to not only impact the sector we work in, but society and the world as a whole.
This year, the exhibition space will be taking a very people centric approach by focusing on the individuals who work within the water industry and the passion they have for the profession. When people take pride in their work, that’s when real and meaningful progress can take place. So, as well as the UK Pavilion demonstrating a passion for water, we’ll be asking you: “Why are you passionate about the water profession?”
The Pavilion will also be supporting the overall Congress’s themes which are:
Working with natural systems to solve environmental challenges while preparing for the growing impacts of climate change. By embracing nature-based solutions and designing resilient infrastructure, we can better manage floods, droughts, and other extreme events.
Partnering with nature and adapting to extremes
Protecting and managing the natural movement of water in ways that can withstand future challenges. By safeguarding water sources, improving infrastructure, and adapting to climate change, we help maintain a stable and sustainable water system for generations to come.
Water cycle: ensuring long term resilience
Water and health are deeply connected, and emerging challenges are putting that relationship under pressure meaning protecting public health requires innovative solutions and stronger safeguards across the water system.
