Women in Water at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition 2026

Women in Water will be a core part of Congress, running across he length and breadth of the Exhibition floor throughout the week. The programme champions ideas, leadership and practical tools that help women join, stay and thrive in the water profession. Expect panel events, lightning talks, fireside conversations, networking meet-ups and skills‑focused sessions, all aligned with the UK Pavilion’s “Come Build the Future” narrative and themes of Systems Thinking, Innovation & Tools, and People Skills & Collaboration.

About the Programme

Across five days in Glasgow, Women in Water will bring together international voices to turn insight into action; from technical innovation that unlocks opportunity, to practical tools that support career development, to people centred leadership that builds belonging. Our aim is to strengthen visibility, amplify voice and foster allyship across the sector.

We encourage all women attending Congress to make the most of every opportunity on offer: the Operational Challenge, site visits across Scottish Water’s estate, the Exhibition Hall, and the many informal interactions that spark connection.
